Manchester, N.H. – Showers could interrupt midweek plans across southern New Hampshire, but brighter skies and rising temperatures are set to take over by Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, a 40 percent chance of showers moves into Manchester Wednesday morning, with rain becoming more likely by Wednesday night. Highs will sit near 70 degrees before conditions improve late Thursday into Friday.
The system is expected to bring scattered rain to Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties, with commuters along Interstate 93 and Route 101 advised to allow extra travel time Wednesday. Winds remain light, but lingering moisture may create slick spots during the morning and evening drive.
By Thursday, skies turn mostly sunny with highs climbing into the upper 70s. Friday through the weekend brings the warmest stretch, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-80s under mostly sunny skies. Outdoor plans for Fisher Cats baseball games, weekend markets, and lake trips should see favorable conditions after midweek.
Showers could return briefly Sunday into Monday, but for now, forecasters say the majority of New Hampshire will see several dry, warm days ahead.
