Manchester, New Hampshire – Thunderstorms may sweep across southern New Hampshire by mid-afternoon Saturday, threatening outdoor events and local road travel, including I-293 and Route 101.

According to the National Weather Service, a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms begins after 2 p.m. Saturday, with the strongest activity possible into the evening. Lightning, brief downpours, and gusty winds are all possible during the storm window. Southeast winds around 5 mph will accompany afternoon highs near 67°F.

Residents in Manchester, Nashua, and Concord should avoid outdoor activities between 1 and 7 p.m. and secure loose items ahead of the rain. Motorists are urged to slow down on wet pavement and allow extra time for travel, especially around construction zones and underpasses prone to pooling water.

Saturday night remains unsettled with lingering storm chances before 8 p.m. Sunday brings dry relief and mostly sunny skies with a warmer high near 81°F. That trend continues into Monday, which is expected to be hot with highs nearing 91°F and increased humidity.

Rain chances return Tuesday afternoon, with scattered storms possible after 2 p.m. and a high of 87°F. A second round of thunderstorms may hit Tuesday night.

Weather alerts may be updated if storm intensity increases. Keep checking local advisories.
