Manchester, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire will see unsettled skies through Wednesday before a stretch of sunny, summer-like weather arrives just in time for the weekend. Showers may dampen the morning commute Wednesday, but by Thursday skies turn clearer with warmer temperatures on the way.

According to the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, a 40 percent chance of showers lingers Wednesday, with highs stuck in the mid-60s. Showers taper off Wednesday night before drier air settles in. By Thursday, conditions improve with partly sunny skies and a high near 74.

The real warmup hits Friday and Saturday, when highs climb into the low to mid-80s under mostly sunny skies. Saturday looks to be the hottest day, with Manchester expected to reach 85 degrees. Residents planning outdoor events may want to schedule them for late week, when the risk of rain is minimal.

Sunday brings a shift, with scattered showers possible once again, especially during the afternoon and evening. Early next week looks unsettled, with rain chances Monday before another break by Tuesday.
