Grantham, NH – Multiple drivers were hospitalized following two unrelated crashes that occurred just over an hour apart Thursday on Interstate 89, causing significant lane closures and delays.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, the first incident happened around 1 p.m. today, when a southbound vehicle on I-89 in Grantham veered off the interstate, striking a guardrail and rolling over. The adult female driver was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with injuries. Troopers temporarily closed lanes while they investigated and cleared the scene with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction (C.A.R.) Unit, Grantham Fire Department, Grantham Police Department and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

About an hour later, at 2:12 p.m., troopers responded to a second, unrelated crash involving two vehicles on I-89 northbound in Lebanon. Both drivers were allegedly taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for evaluation. Authorities said the interstate was closed for approximately 30 minutes while the vehicles were removed. Troopers were assisted by the Lebanon fire and police departments.

No charges have been filed in either crash, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
