Chesterfield, NH – A Farmington woman has died following a multi-vehicle crash that shut down Route 9 in Chesterfield for several hours on Sunday afternoon.
According to the New Hampshire State Police, troopers from the Troop C barracks responded to the scene of a three-car collision on Route 9 at Wellington Drive at approximately 12:27 p.m. Investigators said a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Arreona Davey, 22, of Farmington, allegedly crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic, resulting in the crash.
Davey was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two people in a second vehicle were transported to Cheshire Medical Center with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening, according to police. Authorities said the driver and three passengers of a third vehicle allegedly involved in the crash did not require medical transport.
Route 9 was closed for about four hours while police and emergency crews investigated and cleared the area. Troopers were assisted by multiple agencies, including the Spofford and Chesterfield Fire Departments, Keene fire and police, Hinsdale Police, and the New Hampshire State Police Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
