Portsmouth, NH – The New Hampshire State Police Cold Case Unit is renewing efforts to solve the 1982 homicide of 20-year-old Tammy Little, who was found murdered in her Portsmouth apartment on October 19, 1982.

According to police, Little was discovered inside her residence at 315 Maplewood Avenue, where an autopsy determined she died from massive head injuries. At the time of her death, she was a student at Portsmouth Beauty School.

Authorities say the case remains unsolved more than four decades later, and investigators continue to seek information from the public that could lead to an arrest and bring closure to Little’s family.

Residents are encouraged to submit tips to the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit through the state’s online form at business.nh.gov/ColdCaseTips or by email at coldcaseunit@dos.nh.gov.

Police urge anyone who lived in or near the Maplewood Avenue area in 1982 and may recall unusual activity to come forward, no matter how small the detail.
