New Hampshire State Police Arrest Wrong-Way Driver for DWI on I-293

Manchester, NH – A Bedford man was arrested late Sunday night after allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 293 while under the influence, according to New Hampshire State Police.

At approximately 9:42 p.m. on March 17, authorities received multiple reports of a vehicle traveling against traffic and striking several guardrails near Exit 2.

Troopers located the vehicle, a blue 2017 Subaru Forester, and observed the driver correcting his direction near Exit 1. The driver stopped shortly after on South Porter Street, where he was taken into custody.

State Police identified the driver as Kyle Loconte, 37, of Bedford. He faces multiple charges, including felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, aggravated driving while intoxicated, disobeying an officer, and other motor vehicle offenses.

Loconte is scheduled to appear in Manchester District Court in April.
