Salem, NH – New Hampshire State Police arrested two drivers after catching them speeding over 100 mph during a traffic enforcement operation.

On Tuesday, troopers from the Special Enforcement Unit and Troop B conducted the operation on Interstate 93 northbound with assistance from the State Police aircraft. Officers observed 46 violations, with 15 drivers traveling at 90 mph or faster. Two drivers were arrested for reckless driving over 100 mph.

Troopers arrested Nakaya I. Mitchell, 26, of Lebanon, for operating after ALS suspension and exceeding the 65 mph limit by over 25 mph. James J. McCusker, 40, of Boston, was arrested for aggravated DWI.

State Police warn that reckless driving penalties include a $620 fine, additional fees, and a 60-day license suspension. Traveling over 86 mph results in a $434 fine.

Police will continue traffic enforcement to reduce high-speed violations, prevent crashes, and improve safety. The Special Enforcement Unit uses advanced technology, including aircraft, to monitor and enforce traffic laws.
