Pittsfield, NH – A Concord man was arrested early Saturday after a police pursuit that began in Concord and ended with a crash in Pittsfield, according to the New Hampshire State Police.

At about 2:17 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, Concord Police reportedly attempted to stop a maroon 2006 Chevrolet Equinox for misuse of plates. When the driver failed to pull over, Troopers from the Troop D barracks joined the pursuit.

According to authorities, the suspect—later identified as Travis Bennett Lufkin, 24, of Concord—allegedly fled east on Interstate 393, continued onto Route 9 in Chichester, and sped through several backroads, running multiple stop signs and red lights. The chase continued along Route 28 into Pittsfield, where the vehicle ultimately crashed into a tree near Dowboro Road and Western Mills Road.

Lufkin briefly fled on foot before being taken into custody, police said. He faces several charges, including felony possession of a controlled drug, aggravated DUI, reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, misuse of plates, and driving after suspension.

He is being held at Merrimack County Jail pending arraignment in Concord District Court on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. A female passenger was transported to Concord Hospital with minor injuries. No Troopers were hurt.

State Police said Pittsfield fire and police assisted at the scene.
