According to New Hampshire State Police, the collision happened at approximately 3:28 p.m. Saturday when Officer Peter Beede, 51, allegedly made a U-turn in his police cruiser and struck a 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Peter Anastos, 28, of Laconia. The impact caused another motorcyclist, David Gilson, 28, of Ashland, to lose control of his 1999 Triumph motorcycle and leave the roadway.
State Police said both Anastos and Gilson allegedly suffered injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Beede was not hurt.
