Boston, MA – Seasonable New England fall weather continues into the weekend with a mix of sun, clouds, and cooler temperatures, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Boston.

Forecasters say Thursday and Friday will bring partly sunny skies with highs between 58–62°F today and 57–61°F Friday. A brief isolated shower may develop in the afternoon both days, but dry conditions will dominate overall. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the upper 30s to low 40s, dipping to near freezing in some inland areas by Friday night.

According to the NWS, the weekend will turn cooler and dry, with highs in the low to mid-50s and nighttime lows in the upper 20s to 30s. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mostly sunny, offering crisp and breezy fall weather across Massachusetts.

Looking ahead, forecasters note that unsettled conditions could return early next week as onshore flow increases, bringing scattered showers. There’s also early discussion of a potential mid- to late-week coastal storm, though confidence in its development remains low for now.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the dry weekend before the next round of wet, windy weather possibly arrives midweek.
