BOSTON, Mass. – Fall sunshine continues to shine over eastern Massachusetts, bringing several mild, comfortable days before a round of Sunday rain moves in. Residents will enjoy crisp mornings and clear skies through Saturday—perfect for fall events, pumpkin patches, and early Halloween decorating.

According to the National Weather Service in Norton, temperatures will climb into the mid-50s Thursday and near 60 by Friday. Northwest winds will gust up to 25 mph Thursday before easing into the weekend. Skies will stay mostly clear, with low humidity and brilliant sunshine extending across Suffolk, Middlesex, and Essex counties. Those traveling along I-93 or the Mass Pike should expect smooth, dry commutes through Saturday.

Saturday looks ideal for outdoor plans, with highs near 62 degrees and light winds. However, clouds will increase Sunday, and rain chances rise to 60% by evening. Wet pavement could slow drivers on I-95 and Route 1 late Sunday night into Monday morning. Despite the showers, temperatures remain seasonable in the upper 60s before cooling slightly early next week.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this dry stretch to clean gutters and prep outdoor spaces before the next round of rain. No frost or freeze concerns are expected across Greater Boston, but patchy fog could form late Sunday where rain arrives early.
