Las Vegas, NV – A Wind Advisory has been issued for Nevada’s Colorado River Valley, starting late Monday morning and lasting through Tuesday afternoon. Strong north winds, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph, are expected to cause hazardous conditions across the region.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service in Las Vegas, the advisory will particularly affect high-profile vehicles on east-west-oriented roads, including U.S. Route 95 and State Route 163. Drivers should prepare for challenging travel conditions as blowing dust and debris may reduce visibility.

Boaters on Lake Mohave are also advised to exercise caution due to hazardous conditions. Small watercraft may face difficulty staying stable under the forceful winds. Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor furniture, trash cans, and any other items that could be blown away.

The forecast for Monday includes sunny skies with a high of 61°F, but the north-northeast winds will reach sustained speeds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph in some areas. Winds are expected to calm slightly by Tuesday evening, though conditions will remain breezy through midweek.

Looking ahead, the extended forecast for the Las Vegas area shows mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 60s through Thursday. Cooler nighttime lows, dipping into the upper 30s, will persist.

Residents should stay updated through local weather services and take precautions during the advisory period.
