LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Dawn breaks clear across the Mojave, the air still and cool over the Strip’s glowing skyline. The calm start signals another dry stretch ahead for southern Nevada, where mild warmth and light winds will dominate through early next week before subtle cooling takes hold toward Halloween.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, high pressure remains firmly in place through Monday, ensuring steady sunshine and afternoon highs in the lower 80s. Winds will stay light through the weekend, shifting gently southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoons. The most noticeable change arrives by midweek, when slightly cooler desert air filters in from the north, knocking highs back into the upper 70s and dropping nighttime lows toward 60°F.

Travelers along I-15 and U.S. 95 can expect clear skies and smooth conditions—ideal for weekend drives or outdoor events. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the stretch for yard cleanup, early Halloween decorating, or evening outings before drier, cooler air settles in. The extended calm also means good visibility for air travel through Harry Reid International Airport.

Looking ahead, Halloween Friday appears mostly clear and seasonably mild, with daytime highs near 80°F and crisp trick-or-treat conditions in the 60s after sunset. The steady pattern could break by the weekend, as models hint at a colder northwest flow heading toward the start of November.

A chilly November may be closer than it seems.
