Reno, NV – Snowfall and slippery roads are expected across the Greater Reno-Carson City area today as a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, snow accumulations could reach up to one inch in urban areas and two inches in foothill regions, including Virginia City. The advisory warns of hazardous travel conditions, especially along the I-580 corridor and local roadways. Drivers are urged to exercise caution, reduce speeds, and check for updated road conditions by dialing 511.
Overnight, skies are expected to clear with a low of 22°F, and winds remaining light. Monday will bring sunny conditions with a high near 43°F, offering relief from the weekend’s wintry weather. Temperatures will dip Monday night to a low of 14°F under mostly clear skies.
Looking ahead, the region can expect clear, calm conditions through midweek, with highs reaching 48°F by Wednesday. For those traveling or planning outdoor activities, this extended period of sunny weather provides ideal conditions to make up for this weekend’s disruptions.
