Las Vegas, Nevada – Scorching summer temperatures will slam the Las Vegas Valley beginning Friday, July 25, with a 101°F high and rising heat into next week.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday will bring sunny skies and southwest winds between 8 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph — conditions that could increase fire danger and stress roadways such as I-15 and US-95 during peak traffic hours.
Travelers and residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., and check vehicles for overheating risks. Friday kicks off a string of five consecutive 100°+ days, including Sunday’s high of 102°F and Monday and Tuesday’s forecasted 105°F highs. Nighttime lows remain in the upper 70s to low 80s, offering little relief.
