Las Vegas, Nevada – Isolated thunderstorms and triple-digit heat are expected to create dangerous conditions across the Las Vegas Valley through Thursday, with the hottest temperatures peaking on the Fourth of July.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop as early as Wednesday morning, with a 50% chance of activity persisting into the afternoon. Wednesday’s high will reach 99°F before storms taper off by late evening. Winds may gust up to 20 mph during the storm period.

Localized downpours could cause flash flooding, especially in low-lying areas and washes. Northeast Clark County, including Paradise and North Las Vegas, may see the strongest storms. The storm threat decreases by Thursday, but the heat intensifies, with highs climbing to 101°F Thursday and 102°F on Independence Day.

Residents should stay indoors during peak heat, avoid travel during storm bursts, and monitor alerts. Charge devices and avoid flooded roadways. This pattern mirrors early monsoon surges seen in recent Julys.

Dangerous heat and clear skies dominate the weekend, with highs reaching 103°F Saturday and 109°F by Tuesday. Additional advisories may be issued if storm activity increases.
