Nevada Weather Alert: Snow Expected in Spring Mountains Until 10 PM Monday

Las Vegas, NV – Winter weather advisories remain in effect across Nevada and neighboring regions, with snow accumulation and icy roads expected through Monday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, areas in the Spring Mountains, including Mount Charleston and Red Rock Canyon, could see up to 7 inches of snow by 10 p.m. Monday. Travel along State Routes 156, 157, and 160 may become hazardous.

In the Eastern Sierra and Owens Valley, snowfall between 3 and 6 inches is possible above 5,000 feet, with lower elevations receiving 1 to 3 inches. Key routes such as Highway 395 and State Route 168 are likely to experience icy conditions.

Death Valley National Park is also under advisory, with up to 3 inches of snow expected above 4,500 feet, potentially affecting Highway 190 through Towne Pass and Panamint Springs.

In central Nevada, Esmeralda and Nye Counties may see up to 2 inches of snow, particularly over Goldfield and Lida summits. Meanwhile, the Sheep Range could accumulate up to 6 inches by Monday night.

Northwest Arizona, including Kingman and Peach Springs, faces snow totals between 3 and 8 inches above 6,000 feet through Tuesday evening, with Interstate 40 and State Route 66 being key concern areas.

Travelers are urged to proceed with caution, allow extra travel time, and check 511 for road updates.
