Las Vegas, NV – Memorial Day in Southern Nevada kicks off a blazing start to the summer season, with temperatures climbing to 97°F and gusty winds sweeping across the Las Vegas Valley.

According to the National Weather Service, Memorial Day will be mostly sunny with south-southwest winds increasing to 17 mph by afternoon, and gusts reaching 26 mph. This combination of heat and wind may pose fire risks and reduce visibility along highways like I-15 and US-95. Residents planning outdoor events should seek shade, drink plenty of water, and secure loose outdoor items.

By Tuesday, conditions remain dry and sunny, with a high near 97°F and light southwest winds. Wednesday will bring the season’s first triple-digit day, with highs near 100°F and continued sun. Expect overnight lows to stay in the mid-70s throughout the week, offering little relief from the daytime heat.

The heat intensifies heading into the weekend. Thursday and Friday both top out near 100°F, while Saturday could soar to a sweltering 103°F, the highest reading of the week. No rain is expected in the five-day outlook.
