Las Vegas, Nevada – Triple-digit heat returns to southern Nevada as early as Thursday, with Las Vegas expected to reach a blistering 100°F under sunny skies.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will already push summer-like conditions with a high of 98°F and light southerly winds. But by Thursday, stronger southwest winds will develop—15 to 20 mph—with gusts nearing 29 mph along major corridors like I-15. Drivers and outdoor workers should brace for dry, breezy conditions that could impact visibility and hydration.
The heat won’t ease much overnight either. Lows will hover in the low 70s through the weekend, providing little relief for residents without adequate cooling or insulation. Outdoor plans for Memorial Day should factor in peak afternoon highs ranging from 94°F Saturday to 99°F by Monday.
Friday brings another hot and mostly clear day with a high near 97°F, and Saturday follows close behind with 94°F under full sun. Winds remain manageable during this period, but elevated fire weather risks remain a concern due to low humidity and breezy afternoons.
Looking ahead, Memorial Day on Monday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 99°F, capping a run of above-normal temperatures. Tuesday continues the streak with highs near 98°F under partly cloudy skies.
