Las Vegas, Nevada – The desert heat isn’t letting up. A string of triple-digit days begins Thursday, July 24th, with Las Vegas expected to hit 100°F and climb even higher through the weekend, bringing a Summer Weather Alert to southern Nevada.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will rise sharply Thursday and remain in the 100–105°F range through at least Tuesday, with Friday’s high reaching 101°F. Winds may gust up to 18 mph Thursday afternoon, adding to wildfire and dehydration risks. Residents are urged to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., especially along I-15 and I-515, where pavement can exceed 150°F.

On Friday, July 25th, expect more intense heat with minimal overnight relief. Thursday night’s low only dips to 75°F, offering little recovery time for infrastructure or the human body. Drink water regularly, check on vulnerable neighbors, and avoid leaving pets or electronics in vehicles.

Saturday will stay sunny and hot with a high of 100°F, but some cloud cover returns by Saturday night, signaling a possible pattern shift next week. Sunday and Monday bring more extreme heat, with highs of 102°F and 106°F forecast. Conditions remain dry, with no monsoon relief in sight.

More heat alerts may be issued through early next week. Check for daily updates from the NWS Las Vegas office.
