Nevada wakes up warm and still, but the desert heat ramps up fast by late morning, pushing Las Vegas toward dangerous early-season temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through Sunday evening. Highs will reach 97°F today, with dry air and light winds offering little relief. Humidity sits near 16 percent, allowing heat to build quickly across the valley.

Across Clark County, pavement and concrete will heat rapidly by early afternoon. The Strip, Summerlin, and Henderson will all feel peak heat between noon and 5 p.m. Outdoor plans should shift earlier in the day. Hydration is critical, especially for tourists and Spring Break travelers not acclimated to desert conditions.

Drivers along I-15 and US-95 should prepare for glare and heat fatigue during peak travel hours. Vehicles can overheat quickly in stop-and-go traffic. Keep water in your car and avoid leaving children or pets inside.

Sunday brings slightly lower highs near 94°F, but heat remains persistent. Monday and Tuesday, March 24, hold steady in the mid-90s, extending this unusual March heat streak.

Five Day Outlook for Las Vegas, Nevada:
Sunday: High 94°F, mostly sunny
Sunday Night: Low 66°F, mostly clear
Monday: High 95°F, sunny
Tuesday: High 95°F, sunny
