Las Vegas, Nevada – Scorching heat will bake southern Nevada Tuesday, with temperatures in Las Vegas climbing to 109°F by late afternoon. A summer weather alert remains in effect, and officials urge residents to avoid outdoor activities and limit travel during peak heat hours — especially along I-15 and US-95, where car breakdowns are more likely in extreme temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will be sunny and hot with light winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Overnight lows won’t offer much relief, dipping only to 85°F, keeping heat risks high even after sunset.
By Wednesday, temperatures will climb even higher — reaching 110°F, matching some of the hottest readings of the summer so far. Thursday and Friday remain equally brutal, both topping out around 109°F with clear skies and minimal wind relief.
Weekend temperatures continue the dangerous streak with Saturday topping out near 109°F again. Nighttime lows only fall to the mid-80s, making early morning activity safer but still hot. A slight cooldown could arrive early next week, though no monsoon relief is expected.
