LAS VEGAS — The city’s reach as a global gateway is set to grow with the launch of new international routes in June 2026.

While the city celebrates the Christmas season, travelers can already look forward to next summer, as Southwest Airlines prepares to expand its international service. On June 4, 2026 the airline will offer nonstop flights from Harry Reid International Airport to Cancun, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. These international flights will connect holidaymakers between Las Vegas and Mexico’s top beach destinations.

Adam Decaire, the senior vice president of network planning and network operations control at Southwest Airlines, said in a statement:

“In designing our summer 2026 schedule, we examined industry trends and identified locations… where we are able to provide Customers more choices when they’re booking travel.” He added, “Additionally, we’re boosting service in locations where we’ve always had a strong presence to offer customers even more service than ever before in those cities.”

It’s not just international travel that is getting an upgrade. The airline carrier also plans on increasing the service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Jose. This will be a positive boost to local tourism, holiday travel planning and strengthen regional connections.
