LAS VEGAS — Paid parking is normalized across major operators on the Strip, but the continued increases are adding up.

At first glance, a trip to Las Vegas may appear affordable, but many travelers are often caught off guard by hidden costs like parking and resort fees. According to a report by ResortFeeChecker.com, the average resort fee has risen to $35.48 per night from $22.95 five years ago. In addition to rising resort fees, guests are having to pay extra for parking. For example, places like MGM Resorts charge between $20 and $25 per day.

Paid parking is also dynamic, and prices are known to increase during major events like conferences and the F1 Grand Prix. For many travelers, these costs are reshaping the city’s image as an affordable weekend destination, and the latest tourism figures reflect this. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, around 3.27 million people visited Las Vegas in January 2026, a 2.2% decline from the same period in 2025.

Some resorts have started offering rewards programs for members with discounted parking and resort fees. Others have offered discounted parking policies, such as free three-hour parking at places like ARIA Resort & Casino, Bellagio Hotel & Casino and Mandalay Bay.
