LAS VEGAS — The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada will offer free transit service across the Las Vegas Valley on New Year’s Eve.

Las Vegas comes alive on New Year’s Eve as the desert sky is lit up with colorful fireworks, and music fills the streets. Navigating the streets of the city can be quite difficult with a number of road closures and limited parking, so choosing public transport is the smart choice. All fixed-route buses will be operating on Saturday’s route schedules. The free service will run from 6 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2025, through 9 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2026.

The Deuce and Downtown Loop are among the most popular routes, taking passengers along the Strip and past well-known attractions. The Deuce offers direct access to and from the Strip. However, riders should be aware that all vehicle traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard will be banned, meaning passengers will need to walk to their final destinations. Luckily, the walk will be festive with lots to do and see.

Some routes will experience detours, so it is recommended to subscribe to the RTC of Southern Nevada’s up-to-the-minute RTC alerts. Travelers are encouraged to plan for extra travel time due to increased crowds.
