LAS VEGAS – Early data suggests the city’s five-day resort sale has paid off with visitors.

Last month, Las Vegas launched its first-ever “Fabulous 5-Day Sale”, offering hundreds of special deals on resorts, entertainment, and dining to lure visitors back to the city. Discounts included up to 50% off hotel accommodations, waived resort fees, and reduced spa treatments. Locals were also able to take advantage of the promotions.

This event was in response to a Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) report that revealed that visitor numbers were down by 11.3% compared to last year.

The declining tourism numbers can be attributed to a number of reasons from political issues and a rise of online gambling to inflation. A big reason why the city has experienced a slump in visitors is due to rising costs.

An international visitor from Germany explained: “The only thing is sometimes it’s too expensive, especially if you go out for dinner or get drinks at a bar. It’s getting out of control, in my opinion. I can see why Vegas is pushing this sale.”

While it’s still early, the campaign appears to have had a positive impact, with some visitors praising the discounts and saying the deals would encourage them to return soon.

“I’m glad you told me about the sale. I haven’t booked a hotel yet, so I’ll need to see if I can get a deal,” said one international tourist.

Although the sale has ended, Caesars Palace is now offering Nevada residents free parking, 25 % off food and drinks, and 15% discounts on rooms through March 2026 in an effort to keep boosting local tourism.
