Reno, NV – The Nevada State Police have issued a traffic alert for Interstate 80 in Reno after a power line was struck and fell across the highway between Keystone Avenue and West McCarran Boulevard late Sunday evening.
According to officials, both eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed for several hours overnight as crews work to remove the downed line and complete repairs. The closure is expected to last into the early morning hours but should reopen before the Monday commute.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes, as traffic will be diverted while utility and emergency crews work on-site.
No injuries have been reported, and authorities say updates will be provided once the roadway is cleared and deemed safe to reopen.
