Reno, NV – A midweek shift in the weather will bring cooler temperatures, breezy conditions, and a slight chance of rain and snow to Reno on Wednesday night. Residents should prepare for a temperature drop and possible slick roads as precipitation moves in.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will start off partly sunny with a high near 56°F. However, by the evening, a slight chance of rain showers will develop before transitioning to snow showers after midnight as temperatures drop to 31°F. Winds from the southwest will increase, with gusts up to 25 mph. The snow level is expected to lower from 5,600 feet to 4,600 feet overnight, with a 20% chance of precipitation.

Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies and a high near 52°F, but west winds between 5-10 mph will keep conditions brisk. Looking ahead, Reno will warm up slightly as Friday and Saturday bring partly sunny conditions, with highs reaching 56°F and 59°F, respectively. Overnight lows will remain in the low 30s.

By Sunday and Monday, the area will see mostly sunny skies, with temperatures climbing to the low 70s—marking a return to more typical spring weather.

Drivers should remain cautious Wednesday night into early Thursday, especially on higher-elevation roads where snow accumulation is possible. Stay updated with local forecasts and plan accordingly for changing conditions.
