Las Vegas, NV – A prolonged stretch of near-record heat is beginning to ease across southern Nevada, with temperatures set to drop sharply and a more active weather pattern arriving by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, highs near 92 degrees Sunday will gradually fall into the upper 80s Monday and low 80s Tuesday before dipping into the upper 70s by Wednesday. This cooling trend brings temperatures closer to the seasonal average of around 75 degrees.
The shift will also introduce gusty winds and a slight chance of precipitation by Wednesday, with around a 20 percent chance of showers across the Las Vegas Valley. Breezy conditions could impact travel along I-15 and U.S. 95, especially during the afternoon when winds tend to peak.
Residents should prepare for changing conditions after several days of heat, including cooler evenings and increasing wind. Outdoor plans may be affected midweek as clouds and spotty showers develop.
The more active pattern continues into late week, with temperatures stabilizing near normal and additional weather systems possible
