Reno, NV – Significant snowfall blanketed areas in Nevada and nearby regions early Saturday, with totals reaching up to 13.5 inches in some areas, according to the U.S. National Weather Service in Reno.
Mount Rose led the totals in the Lake Tahoe area, receiving 13.5 inches of snow, while Heavenly recorded 8 inches. Mono County saw June Mountain accumulate 9 inches, and Mammoth Mountain collected 6 inches. Meanwhile, the Reno-Carson-Minden area reported snowfall ranging from 1 inch in Spanish Springs to 3.5 inches at Reno Airport.
According to the National Weather Service, light snow showers are forecasted to continue into Monday morning, particularly in Mono and Mineral counties. Residents and travelers are urged to remain cautious as snow can impact road conditions and visibility.
The snowfall totals reflect data collected through 9 a.m. Saturday, with updates expected as more reports come in.
