LAS VEGAS — Major retailers are preparing for the shopping rush surrounding Cyber Monday and the Christmas season that follows.
November and December are the busiest periods for retailers as consumers take advantage of savings from Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday, and Christmas sales. In Las Vegas, malls like Downtown Summerlin and Fashion Show are anticipating large crowds of shoppers this year.
According to The National Retail Federation’s annual holiday forecast, retail sales in November and December will grow between 3.7% and 4.2%. NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said, “We remain bullish about the holiday shopping season and expect that consumers will continue to seek savings in nonessential categories to be able to spend on gifts for loved ones.”
To meet demand, many Las Vegas resorts will launch their deals early, starting as early as mid-November. For example, Caesars Resorts is holding a Cyber Sale Room Rate Discount from Nov. 3 to Dec. 3, 2025.
Malls like Downtown Summerlin are keeping their doors open for longer to accommodate increased shoppers. On Black Friday, the mall will stay open until 9 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Cyber Monday, 1 Dec. 2025. In previous years, Fashion Show Mall has implemented extra security and traffic management to cope with increased foot traffic.
This year, shoppers are encouraged to plan ahead by making a list, setting a budget, and arriving early to avoid the crowds.
