LAS VEGAS — One of Southern Nevada’s longest-running holiday hunger relief efforts was underway across Clark County.

Three Square Food Bank began its emergency drive-thru distributions on Nov. 1, 2025, to support families in Southern Nevada who were experiencing food shortages during the recent government shutdown. In the past year, the food bank provided over 48 million pounds of food, which amounted to around 40 million meals.

Starting Nov. 3, 2025, Three Square partnered with the Nevada Department of Agriculture to distribute food through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), which supplied nutritious food to low-income households.

To reach even more people, Three Square also partnered with the Las Vegas Raiders to provide Thanksgiving meals at an event called “Turkey Time with the O-Line.” The food distribution took place on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Allegiant Stadium, where turkey, fixings, and fresh produce were handed out per vehicle. A total of 706 meals were distributed at the event.
