Las Vegas, Nevada – Triple-digit heat is ramping up across southern Nevada as Las Vegas braces for a 106°F scorcher on Saturday and even hotter days to follow. The National Weather Service has issued a summer weather alert as a prolonged heatwave builds through early July, with Monday forecast to top out near 109°F.
According to the NWS Las Vegas office, light winds and clear skies will push temperatures higher each day through Tuesday. Saturday’s high will approach 106°F by mid-afternoon, and Sunday will bring similar conditions at 107°F. By Monday, residents and visitors alike will face peak heat near 109°F, making hydration and limited sun exposure critical, especially for those along I-15 and the Las Vegas Strip.
Las Vegas Boulevard, surrounding communities like Paradise and Sunrise Manor, and high-traffic areas near Harry Reid International Airport will see extreme heat indexes. Outdoor workers, elderly residents, and those without reliable cooling should take extra precautions.
Weekend Snapshot:
Saturday and Sunday will remain clear and dangerously hot. Winds stay light, offering no relief. Monday through Wednesday shows no break in the pattern, keeping conditions oppressive and dry.
