Las Vegas, Nev. – Triple-digit heat will grip the Las Vegas Valley this weekend as sunny skies push daytime highs above 100°F through Labor Day, with storms likely to return early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Thursday will stay mostly cloudy before conditions clear out, leaving Friday sunny with a high near 96°F. Heat builds quickly over the weekend, with highs of 101°F Saturday and 103°F Sunday. South and east winds up to 8 mph will offer little relief.

The hottest stretch arrives on Labor Day when temperatures are expected to peak near 104°F. While skies remain mostly sunny, forecasters warn a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms could develop after 11 a.m. Monday and linger through midweek.

Residents are urged to limit outdoor activity during the afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable neighbors. Cooling centers across Clark County may be available for those without reliable air conditioning. Drivers should also be cautious if storms develop, as heavy downpours could quickly reduce visibility and cause slick roads.

The National Weather Service says storm chances remain in place through Wednesday, keeping heat and lightning risks elevated well into next week.
