Las Vegas drivers and visitors should brace for scattered thunderstorms as September closes, with travel on I-15 facing potential delays into Monday. Roads could see brief flooding and slick surfaces, and outdoor events may be interrupted by sudden downpours. Residents are urged to stay alert and limit non-essential travel when storms approach.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms will develop across the Las Vegas Valley after 2 p.m. Saturday and continue into Sunday. Rainfall will be spotty, but gusty winds and lightning remain possible. The chance of storms diminishes by late Monday, with sunshine returning by Tuesday as October begins.

Impacts are expected across Clark County, with Paradise, Henderson, and North Las Vegas most likely to see short bursts of rain. Temperatures will stay warm, with highs near 87 to 88 degrees, keeping surfaces hot even when showers move in. Travelers on I-15 and U.S. 95 should watch for rapidly changing conditions, especially in low-lying areas prone to brief flooding.

The start of October brings calmer skies. By Wednesday, Las Vegas will see mostly sunny days and highs in the upper 80s, easing concerns for outdoor plans. Winds may pick up slightly midweek, but no significant hazards are expected.

Stay weather-aware through Monday as additional advisories may be issued if storms intensify.
