RENO, Nev. – After a chilly start Friday morning, Reno heads into one of its most comfortable fall weekends yet, with abundant sunshine and mild warmth stretching through Sunday. The National Weather Service says the Reno-Sparks area will see highs in the low to mid-70s each day, creating perfect conditions for outdoor events, travel, and fall recreation across western Nevada.

According to the National Weather Service in Reno, calm winds and dry air will dominate through the weekend, with temperatures climbing to near 75°F on Sunday. Morning lows will stay cool, dipping into the upper 30s and low 40s, offering a crisp start for early hikers or anyone heading to regional pumpkin patches or Lake Tahoe. Visibility along I-580, Highway 395, and Highway 50 will remain excellent, with no weather-related travel issues expected.

The stable pattern makes this weekend ideal for scenic drives through Washoe Valley or fall leaf viewing in the nearby Sierra foothills. Air quality also remains good, with no wildfire smoke expected in the region — a welcome change for autumn weekends in the high desert.

Looking ahead, temperatures stay mild into early next week before a weak system brings a potential cooldown by midweek.
