LAS VEGAS – Dolly Parton Postpones First Las Vegas Residency in 32 Years Due to Health Reasons
Country music icon Dolly Parton has postponed her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, her first in more than three decades, citing health concerns.
Parton was scheduled to perform six shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” between Dec. 4 and Dec. 13. The residency, which overlapped with the National Finals Rodeo, was expected to draw thousands of country music fans to the city.
On Sunday night, Parton shared the news on social media, explaining:
“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!
“In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see and the show that you deserve to see,” and added, “You pay good money to see me perform and I want to be at my best for you.”
Parton’s performance was set to be a historic event and a major tourist boon, as she hadn’t toured since her 2016 “Pure & Simple Tour.” As it stands, fans will have to wait until Sept.2026 to watch her live.
Parton confirmed that tickets for the postponed shows will remain valid for the new dates, with refunds also available.
