LAS VEGAS — Google Trends data for December suggests where residents are planning to go this Christmas season.

While Las Vegas is not a white winter wonderland, the desert city goes all out during the Christmas holidays with plenty of experiences and attractions for residents and tourists to explore. Data from Google Trends highlights some of the most popular Christmas events this year. 

Stetson Country Christmas 2025 

The most searched event under Christmas on Google Trends was the Stetson Country Christmas. The historic trade show is a unique shopping spot for Western-inspired gifts and also hosts the National Finals Rodeo. The show runs from Dec. 4 to 14, 2025, at the Rio Hotel and Suites from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free.

Magical Forest at Opportunity Village

The holiday wonderland at Opportunity Village is another well-searched Christmas event in Las Vegas. The Magical Forest features twinkling lights, a Forest Express train, a 50-foot-tall Avalanche Slide, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel, and plenty of seasonal eats. 

Santa will be in his cabin every evening to meet with forest goers, and the Holiday Shoppe will be open for some festive shopping. The forest will be open: 

Sunday – Thursday: 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Friday – Saturday: 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

The forest will close early at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, 2025. Admission is $25 per person, and proceeds support Opportunity Village.

Annual Holiday Cactus Garden Lights

The Holiday Cactus Garden at Ethel M Chocolates Factory & Cactus Garden is a popular event that is now in its 32nd year. Open nightly until January. 3, 2026, the garden will be lit with millions of twinkling lights, with an appearance from Santa who is available for photos. 

Opening hours: 

  • Nov. 7th – Dec. 23rd: 5-10pm
  • Christmas Eve: Dec. 24th: 5-8pm
  • Dec. 26 – Dec. 30th: 5-10pm
  • New Year’s Eve: Dec. 31st: 5-8 pm
  • Jan. 1 – Jan. 3rd: 5-10pm

Entry is $3, and half of all proceeds benefit HELP of Southern Nevada and Three Square Food Bank.
