LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Valley residents are buying their Christmas decorations earlier this year.
According to a report from the American Christmas Tree Association (ACTA), almost 67% of consumers display their Christmas decorations before December. A trend that explains why consumers are purchasing decorations earlier this year. The association also found that more than 80% of consumers who shop early secure better deals.
It’s not just securing deals that influence early buying. Homeowners association (HOA) rules on display times and applications for external LED lighting and yard displays also play a role. As a result of the early spending, several exciting Christmas decoration trends for this year have emerged.
Statement Pieces
This year, big and bold Christmas decorations are popular. Decorators at Ralph Jones Display, a longtime Las Vegas favorite, are emphasizing large and oversized statement pieces in their showroom. A survey by Houzz reveals that more homeowners are experimenting with bold colors and even AI-generated Christmas displays.
Culturally Unique Pieces
Las Vegas décor stands out from other cities for its blend of desert and pop-culture influences. One local designer suggests that popular Christmas decorations this year will include desert flora motifs and mid-century pop-culture references.
Monochromatic Décor
For those who prefer a more subtle Christmas display, the American Christmas Tree Association (ACTA) recommends the monochromatic trend. This year, decorators can choose one shade or color, like silver or champagne.
This year’s décor trends highlight the city’s blend of creativity and individuality.
