LAS VEGAS — This Christmas season, several holiday collections have launched early to meet growing community demand.
Throughout the year and during the holidays, Las Vegas hosts a variety of charity drives to support residents in need. But with Nevada currently reporting the nation’s highest unemployment rate at 5.6%, local organizations have seen a sharp rise in requests for assistance. This year, a number of toy and gift drives have begun collecting donations ahead of schedule.
GIVE JOY 2025: Holiday Toy & Gift Card Drive
The holidays are supposed to be a time for joy, but for many children in foster care in Clark County, it can be lonely. GIVE JOY is running their toy drive to give babies and teenagers something special this year.
You can help by hosting a toy drive at your organization or among friends and collecting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0–12, or gift cards in $25 or $50 increments. The organization also encourages money donations online.
City of Las Vegas Parking Services Toy Donation Program (Parking Tickets)
A unique initiative approved by the Las Vegas City Manager lets people pay their parking tickets with a donation of toys. Only tickets issued between Sept. 15 and Nov. 14, 2025, qualify, and the toy’s value must meet or exceed the fine amount.
Nevada Child Seekers — Free Youth Fest & Toy Drive
On Saturday, November 15, the Nevada Child Seekers will be hosting a free Youth Fest & Toy Drive at the Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix. The toys collected will be given to children in foster care.
These early charity drives reflect the city’s community spirit heading into the Christmas season.
