Omaha, NE – A warming trend is set to continue across Nebraska with mostly dry weather, though spotty showers are expected to occur tonight and Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service has warned of very high fire danger on several days this week, due to breezy conditions.
According to the National Weather Service Omaha/Valley, temperatures will rise into the 70s and 80s throughout the week, but windy conditions will bring increased fire risk. Tonight, temperatures will drop to 40-45°F with a slight chance of rain. By Wednesday, temperatures will climb to the mid-70s, with light showers possible and breezy conditions.
Thursday and Friday will continue to see high fire danger with breezy winds and temperatures ranging from 65°F to 70°F. The weekend will bring temperatures in the 75-80°F range, along with continued breezy conditions and a very high fire danger.
Residents are advised to stay alert and take precautions to prevent fires.
