Omaha, NE – Nebraska residents can look forward to a mild and mostly dry weekend in Omaha, with sunny skies and above-average temperatures. However, rain is expected to return by Monday, bringing cooler temperatures and possible precipitation that may affect Monday’s commute.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Omaha/Valley office, Friday will be warm and sunny, with highs around 60 degrees, providing ideal weather for outdoor activities. Winds will be light, creating comfortable conditions throughout the day and into Friday evening, when temperatures are expected to dip into the low 40s.

Saturday will continue the mild trend, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 62 degrees. A slight cool-down is expected by Sunday, with the high reaching 56 degrees and partly cloudy skies lingering. Saturday night’s low will hover around 44 degrees, and Sunday night will be cooler at 38 degrees, as calm conditions persist across the Omaha area.

The weekend’s pleasant weather will shift by Monday, with rain likely arriving in the morning and lasting through much of the day. Monday’s high will be a cooler 55 degrees, as east winds bring in moist air ahead of a potential cold front, setting the stage for a temperature drop. The NWS forecasts Monday night’s low to fall to around 39 degrees, with lingering showers tapering off by Tuesday morning.

Looking into early next week, Omaha will see temperatures dip further, with a high near 50 degrees expected on Tuesday. Those commuting or traveling around the area on Monday should prepare for wet roadways and exercise caution during peak traffic hours as rain may reduce visibility and create slippery conditions.
