Hastings, NE – The National Weather Service in Hastings says the next few days will feature breezy, chilly conditions before a possible round of light snow develops on Saturday, mainly north of Interstate 80.

Thursday will bring gusty southwest winds (20–30 mph) and highs ranging from the upper 20s to low 40s, with the coldest temperatures in the east and milder air to the west.

By Friday, temperatures will warm 5–15° higher than Thursday, reaching the upper 30s to mid-40s across most of central and southern Nebraska, along with lighter winds.

The Saturday snow chance remains uncertain, with computer models showing some potential for light accumulation north of I-80, but confidence is still low due to differing forecast outcomes. The NWS notes it’s too early to predict exact amounts, but residents should monitor updates as the weekend approaches.
