Omaha, NE – Temperatures across eastern Nebraska are trending cooler than average for early April, but Thursday is shaping up to be a standout day for outdoor plans, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service Omaha/Valley office.
According to the NWS update issued Wednesday afternoon, Omaha can expect a mostly cloudy night followed by gradual clearing and a low of 35 degrees. Thursday is forecasted to bring a break in the chill with a high near 59 degrees, calm winds, and plenty of sunshine – described by forecasters as a “beautiful spring day.”
Rain chances return Friday, with a 70% chance of scattered showers and temperatures dipping slightly to a high of 55. Showers are expected to taper off into Saturday, but breezy conditions and a north wind will keep highs around 50, making it feel cooler for early April.
Residents planning to take advantage of Thursday’s mild conditions are encouraged to do so before wet and windy weather settles in for the weekend.
