Hastings, NE – Residents in Hastings should prepare for a foggy Tuesday morning and cooler temperatures starting Wednesday. The National Weather Service has warned of dense fog along major routes, including Highway 281, which may reduce visibility. Fog is expected to clear by mid-morning, with temperatures reaching the upper 70s to low 80s today.

According to the National Weather Service, a cold front will move through the area late Tuesday, dropping temperatures into the 60s by Wednesday. Winds will pick up to 10-15 mph, potentially gusting as high as 20 mph, making evening commutes on local highways more challenging. Residents should expect partly cloudy skies by Wednesday with highs near 65°F and lows around 45°F.

The temperature drop will continue Thursday with sunny skies and a high of 72°F, but another cold front is predicted to arrive Thursday night. Friday will see even cooler weather, with highs only reaching the low to mid-60s and overnight lows dropping into the 30s. Wind gusts may reach up to 30 mph, creating chillier conditions across the Hastings area.

No significant precipitation is expected this week, though there is a slight chance (10-15%) of light sprinkles north and east of the Tri-Cities, particularly on Wednesday. By Friday, skies will clear again, offering sunny but cooler conditions heading into the weekend.
