Omaha, NE – Extreme fire danger conditions are expected across southeast Nebraska through Tuesday, with temperatures nearing 80°F, strong winds, and very low humidity increasing wildfire risks.

According to the National Weather Service Omaha/Valley, gusts between 25-35 mph, combined with humidity levels in the teens, will create very high to extreme fire danger on Monday. These conditions may lead to fire weather watches and red flag warnings being issued across the region.

The highest fire risk is expected south of Interstate 80 on Tuesday, where humidity will drop even further. Authorities advise avoiding outdoor burning and taking precautions to prevent wildfires, as dry conditions will make fire spread more likely.
