Omaha, NE – A breezy Monday opens the week for eastern Nebraska, but spring weather changes are coming quickly by Tuesday night.

Sunny skies will dominate Omaha’s Monday with temperatures reaching 51°F. Winds from the north will increase to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph, making it feel cooler than expected. Drivers along I-80 should prepare for crosswind conditions, especially in open stretches. No precipitation is expected until Tuesday night.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday night will be mostly clear with lows dropping to 29°F. By Tuesday, winds will shift to the southeast and climb to 14 mph, gusting to 23 mph. Tuesday remains mostly sunny with a high near 62°F. However, a 20 percent chance of rain emerges Tuesday night after midnight as cloud cover increases. Overnight lows are forecast at 46°F.

Wednesday brings another slight rain chance with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 68°F. Rain remains a possibility into Wednesday night before clearing Thursday.
