Hastings, Nebraska — Strong to severe storms could develop across Nebraska late this afternoon and into the overnight hours, bringing with them the potential for damaging winds and hail the size of ping pong balls. While storm formation remains uncertain, the western portion of the state is expected to be at the highest risk.
