Cheyenne, WY – Drivers in Nebraska’s Panhandle are urged to take extra caution this morning, as a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m. Tuesday. Visibility in parts of Box Butte, Cheyenne, and Morrill counties may drop to between a quarter and half a mile, especially along U.S. Highway 385. Authorities recommend keeping safe distances and reducing speed, as foggy conditions increase the risk of accidents.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service in Cheyenne, visibility is expected to improve later this morning as the fog dissipates. However, drivers should remain vigilant in areas where fog lingers, especially on rural roads and highways prone to lower visibility.

In Wyoming, milder, mostly sunny weather is expected mid-week, with temperatures gradually climbing. Wednesday will see a high of around 48°F east of I-25, with breezy conditions developing, particularly west of the interstate. These winds could bring gusts up to 25 mph, creating potentially challenging driving conditions for high-profile vehicles.

On Thursday, temperatures will peak at near 58°F in some areas, marking the warmest day of the week. By Friday, a slight cooldown is anticipated, with highs reaching around 53°F. Those planning outdoor activities or road trips should prepare for fluctuating temperatures and wind gusts through Thursday.

The weekend forecast suggests cooler, clearer conditions. Saturday will bring highs in the upper 40s, with temperatures dropping into the 20s at night. For safe travel, residents are advised to check local conditions and plan accordingly, as weather can vary significantly between regions.
